Staying informed and up-to-date with the latest business and finance news can be a challenge. You are probably busy and have little time to scroll through various newspapers. And subscriptions to various newspapers can be costly as well. But, to be successful, you need to stay informed. That is why I stick to podcasts. I can listen to those when I’m on the go, while I run, or just have it in the background. In this blog post, I will give you my list of the best podcasts.

Podcasts are always a great option to get summarized info quickly. You can focus on other tasks while listening to your favorite episodes. Instead of walking around and reading on your phone, podcasts offer flexibility.

Google Podcasts is a no-cost application characterized by its simple design, aimed at making the enjoyment of popular podcasts effortless.

Spotify boasts exclusive podcast offerings as well as a curated collection of podcasts tailored to specific genres. This is my favorite app. I got my subscription while I was still in college because I love listening to music.

WSJ Minute Briefing

Host: The Wall Street Journal 

Frequency: 3 episodes Daily

The WSJ Minute Briefing podcast brings you the latest breaking news in business and finance. Episodes are less than 2 minutes in length, and you get 3 shows per day.  

The episodes are concise and easy-to-digest and follow. Basically, you get bit-size updates on the most critical stories worldwide three times daily. 

This podcast is perfect for those with busy schedules. With WSJ Minutes you will always be in the loop and armed with the latest information that could impact your investments, decisions, and strategies. 

WSJ What’s News

Another great podcast from WSJ is WSJ What’s News. These are between 12 and 16 minutes in length. These give you a deeper dive into top stories shaping the business landscape. 

You will get insightful analysis, interviews, and reports on significant world events as well as market overviews. 

If you want to know more about economic changes and various industries then this podcast is perfect. You will get a better understanding of the context behind major headlines and how these can impact financial decisions. 

FT News Briefing

The FT News Briefing podcast from the Financial Times delivers the most important news in less than 10 minutes per day. Unlike WSJ podcasts, which are mostly oriented towards the US, FT News Briefing looks at the global economy. 

By drawing on the expertise of FT’s journalists and editors, the podcast provides insightful analysis, interviews with industry experts, and coverage of international markets. 

Listening to these episodes is like having your team of financial researchers providing you with valuable insights each day.

The best thing about this podcast is that this is an early episode. It’s live around midnight (Eastern Time( and you can listen to this episode when you wake up.

BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast

Hosts: Brandon Turner and David Greene 

Frequency: Weekly

For those interested in the world of real estate, the BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast is an invaluable resource. Two real estate experts, Brandon Turner, and David Green, teach you about real estate investing in a fun and interesting way. They also have successful entrepreneurs who are guests who share their own fails and successes. 

These episodes are never boring and are filled with valuable info. However, I would leave those for when you have more time – maybe over the weekend. Some episodes are over 1 hour in length. 

An hour-long episodes bring you everything: beginner tips and advanced strategies.  The episodes covers a wide range of topics related to real estate investing. If you want to grow your real estate portfolio or just learn about real estate investing, this podcast is perfect.
